Ok thanks , i wouldnt have tryed the gun without asking, ill start with what you say sir . Now im familiar with a soldering iron but never actually reflowed a pcb .
Do you have any tips for reflowing or just heat the solder to liquid state and let it cool down and then onto the next ? Or should i be finding a local pc shop to see if they have a reflow hot plate ect .

Ill check the readings tomorrow

Ok so i resoldered every joint on the pcb . No luck .

When i press the trigger , this little black fella clicks im sure its ment to but .

Now before i done any soldering i could press the trigger and clicking clonking as per but that white relay has a button like so , if i pressed it the feed motor would kick in but it doesnt now ! .

My soldering isnt the best as this is my first attempt on a proper pcb. I think its ok ??

Still clonking when i tap soo definatly somthing loose or ******ed on the board .

send it to technical arc. they modified mine for a larger wire feed motor for around £25

Made a big improvement on my Clarke 150. Technical arc also sell conversion kits on the eBay page

In what way of an improvement did it make buddy ? ,not heard much about them really .

Oh , P.S i got a quote from technical arc and he said his familiar with the board and can repair it for £65 , is this a good price ?

It made the wire feed smoother, torch can be removed so the unit is more compact for storage. Is longer than a hobby torch, torch feels nicer to hold ( for me anyway) consumables are better to get hold of.

I think it's a fair price as the welder was free. Maybe mention you re soldered the joints before you sent it? Mine was cheap as I already spent a lot with les. He helped me out a lot and his customer service was great. They make the tecarc and portamig units
