Clarke 160T & 160TE

Where are Clarke welders made ? Did i hear someone state that they were made at the same factory as Miller ? Or somesuch.

Also is the main difference between the 160T and the 160TE the 5 extra amps and I assume the 'E' in TE stands for Euro torch ?, and is that worth the extra 50 brick ?

Made in Italy yes, and the same factory makes some of the European marketed Miller machines (sharing many of the same components).
No difference at all between the T or TE model 160 & the only difference with the 165TE compared to the 160T/TE is a 6mm bore industrial gas pipe on the back, compared to the 160's small bore plastic pipe (which is actually more useful as it means you can run a disposable regulator/canister for small one-off jobs of, say, aluminium or stainless).

Oh, and 'E' doesn't refer to a Euro-Torch... you have to go up to the 230TE model to get a euro-torch.

could you pm me a price for the 160T and what price is p&p or do you do pick ups (just seen the horror story about courier damage, and if it wasnt too far id rather pickup)
Mind you i am supposed to be buying a new car this weekend!

which is the better mig a snapOn 2135 or a Clarke 160T. is the snapon worth the extra ?
