Decided to go new with a kindly donated 20% off voucher.

Its mainly for thin bodywork, min of 1.0mm, which would be the best buy and why? there's about £30 in it price wise...

If you're starting out for the first time and don't have a regulator then buy the 160tm as it comes with a proper cylinder shelf and a regulator for argon/co2 refillables.

30a low enough with 0.6 wire for a 1mm butt weld?

I would run 0.8mm as it helps with the top end power byt not really noticeable at lower amps, You would want a bit more than 30a for 1mm so that isn't a problem.
