Clarke 150T swan neck question

Hi, I'm new to this forum, and a real novice welder. I've got a Clarke 150T Turbo welder which I was using today trying to repair my landrover diff pan. I hadn't noticed, but the last chap I lent it to must have cross threaded the welding tip to the swan neck, and it came out and welded itself to the shroud, fell out, and everything went Pete Tong. My questions are;

1). Does the neck bit (A) seperate from the valve body bit (B)? If so, how? Does the springy insulator / wire guide bit (C) come with part A, or part A&B if you can't seperate them? If not, what is it called? Mine has welding wire stuck in it, if you were wondering what that was!

Sorry for the stupid descriptions of parts, I haven't got a clue what their proper terms are!

Welcome to the forum.

A is the swan neck, b the gas valve and C the swan neck liner.

Have a look in the forum shop, the bits you want may be there; if not drop Weldequip a PM.

The swan neck should be attached to the gas valve via a small allen key grub screw. But I've a feeling the liner goes all the way through the valve so no need to remove the swan neck.

Cheers for the info, I've located the scew and got the swan neck out with a 2.5mm allen key, I think. Needed to do that, Malcom, because the swan neck is threaded where the tip screws in. Off to Machine Mart to get fleeced on Monday, as I've got to get this welding finished before I return to work. Otherwise I would have ordered from Weldequip. However, I'm liking the look of his bottle adaoters. Need to start chatting up my local landlady

aye, I saw that, but can't get my sticky mits on a vehicle till later on. However, it will allow me to ring the two branches closest to me to check out that they have what I want in stock

I have a Clarke 151te which has had very little use as I do not actually do that much MIG welding.

I have just changed the tip and within seconds the wire welded itself to the new tip and would not detach. I decided to change the tip again but on turning the new tip it broke in two and now I have part of the thread in the end of the swan neck.

I have disassembled the gun and now have the part labelled A separate. The swan neck turns to 90 degrees in the block part but I cannot see how to remove it !

There may be a grub screw that secures it into the brass block...once undone the swan neck should pull out.

I own a Clarke 100e and need that grub screw , do you know were to get one in the uk
