Hi, I am having trouble removing the wire liner from my welder. I have undone it at the gun and on the welder. Is their an easy way to do this or do i just need brute force?
could you have attached a piece of string to the old one with insulation tape and use it as a draw string to get the new one back in?
Would it be easier now to thread a length of mig-wire through the pipe, possibly with the end bent over so it doesn't snag, then either pull the new lining in with that or use the wire to pull some string through?
I replaced the liner of a Clarke Pro 90 some years ago and as I recall I ended up disconnecting the gas-pipe and the wiring, dragging it all out and then pulling it all back in one 'bunch' after straightening out any cross-overs.
