Hello,
After almost a year of lurking on the forums, my not entirely trusty Clarke 145 has developed a problem I am unable to solve.
It's been unused for about 3 months but when I went to use it there everything turned on fine but there was no wire feed. The torch trigger is good, as is the motor itself. There is no arc and (unsurprisingly) no voltage between the torch tip and the earth clamp. When the trigger is pulled there is a loud click from both of the relays (why are there 2 anyway?), but that is it.
Am I correct that it's now down to either the Relays/PCB or the transformer? How would I go about testing further? Can those relays even be opened to check the contacts (I tried to prise the top off one but I was worried I would damage the board)?
