I'm a bit late to this, but not sure why you got a new torch
Maybe because a (generic) AK14 complete torch assy has a metal liner, and at £18, costs less than just a Clarke swan neck and swan neck liner?
A few months ago these torches could be found in, the UK, for £9 (I bought rather a lot).
They take MB15 consumables, which are slightly better than the 5 mm Clarke bits.
Sealey use them as OEM, on sub 150 amp. So they are a cost effective way to rejuvenate basic MIGs' front end parts (where many / most problems usually lie). My only gripe would be that the trigger (operating a microswitch, so two wire) often has a poor / stiff feel to it.
