Hi i am after a little bit of advice/help please
I have a CLARKE 105EN Turbo, it used to be my fathers. he bought it as a new machine and it never quiet welded right.
He barely used the machine and just left it to be. Anyhow i have ended up with it.
The problem i am facing is as follows, when welding (mild steel) ie exhaust pipe 1.5mm or any such steel it seems to struggle to make that nice crisp sound and spits a bit. Gas is on/wire feed 2 n half. No 2 Min.
it seems to build the welds proud of the piece.
Now if the torch shroud is to come in contact with the piece it welds LOVELY and consistent.
I have also noticed you have to have it on max and no2 and it still wouldn't put a hole in 1.5mm exhaust. Not that i want it to im just trying to explain it seems to of lost its umph unless the shroud is touching the piece your welding.
Sorry to waffle on
Any help is much appreciated
Cheers
