Clarke 105EN mig welder

Hi all,
I bought a clarke welder new on ebay last year used it once just to try it out and it worked fine. I put it away in its box in the garage till I needed it which is now. The problem is, it wont work now, the fan runs but the wire dosent run out and I cant get it to arc. Is there something I can do myself to fix it, anyone any Ideas. I have just retired and I bought the welder whilst I was working and could afford it. Now that I have time on my hands I want to start doing up an old campervan which needs a lot of welding done.
BTW, I have never used a welder before, so I am a newby.

Hi Ron, the only thought I have is that possibly the signal from
the grip trigger isn't getting through. Is there an electical plug
you could check for the trigger cable?

Hi Ron,
If the welder has been sat for a long period of time it just might be seized up, especially if it has been in a damp enviroment (garage).
I would check through the wire feed path for any rust/debris etc, with the machine unplugged, you could also try gripping the wire at the torch end and pull it through a little, then plug it in and see if it starts to feed, can you hear the gas coming through when you pull the trigger??

Lelease all the preasure from the wire on the feed drum,
Take your trigger apart and clean all thew terminals and fiddle with the switch.
Sqwirt a little wd in the switch and see what happens.
