Hi guys have just bought a spot welder from machine mart csw6t for some panels on a mini resto, but the price they are asking for the different arms is like how much, question is can i make my own tips if i get the solid copper rod and bend to shape its only for the actual ends that weld it, the ones they supply are to thick. cheeRS

Proper industrial tips are a copper alloy, depending on the application, Chrome, tungsten, and beryllium are used, that's why they cost so much.
However for the small hand held spot welders I have been making my own tips for years from 10mm stock copper bar they just dont last quite so long, but, a 3 metre length will make a lot of tips.

Have you tried some one who just does resistance (spot) welding for parts? example
