Clamps for butt welding. Names? Suppliers?

I’ve never lost a pin in storage but have lost the odd one on the floor.

Advantage or making your own with round pins is that you can replace the pins easy enough.

I used removable dowels as that’s what I had a load of but any round bar would do

I used these a lot on the Sierra. Storage when not in use is in one of those magnetic parts trays. Having a decent magnet on a bit of net-curtain spring wire helps retrieve lost pins.

Also have a look on GazTube for Fitzee Cut and Butt method. Works well enough.
