claiming a paypal payment.

Morning all,
Ive sold something on ebay for the first time in years and the buyer has sent a paypal payment, ive clicked on the 'Claim you payment' tab but the transaction is'nt showing up in my paypal account.

Im sure im doing something wrong as the buyer is saying thta the payment is showing as unclaimed in her account.

Any ideas?

have you had an e-mail from paypal saying "you have funds" ?,sometimes if the buyer has insufficent funds in their paypal account and the money is coming out of their bank account ,it can take a few days to appear in your paypal account.

check the email address she sent it to. even non cleared payments should show as processing

i have had this happen a few time whats happened is the paypal address link the buyer as clicked does'nt match you paypal addrees

i got round this by registering for the email address that the payments was sent to and then adding the email address to my paypal account

Can do that if the email address can be used by the seller or ask the buyer to cancel the payment to the incorrect address and make a new payment to the correct address.

i had this recently with a sale. It had defaulted to an old email that was no longer active. Had to get the seller to cancel payment and send again to the correct email

I think it was an old email address that was the problem,so ive reset it all and asked the buyer to cancel and resend it, hopefully thats the problem sorted.
