Hi,
I have some limited experience with TIG welding and would like to purchase my own TIG welding machine soon and use it for hobby purposes. However, I always found european style TIG torches big and clumsy and would like to try something small, lightweight and nimble. Therefore the TIG welding machine should be able to accommodate for a CK Worldwide TIG torch of this style:
In order to fit this torch to a european style welding machine I will need this one:
This item makes it possible to operate the torch without an external gas supply: The gas goes through the machine and is controlled by a solenoid valve inside.
Question:
If I DON'T have a foot pedal, and I DON'T want a switch on the torch and I DON'T want a manual gas valve on the torch, how do I operate this particular torch with a TIG welding machine?
As far as I understand HF start is out of the question since it requires a switch. This leaves me with LiftArc, but how is preflow and postflow controlled in LiftArc mode on a welding machine? Am I missing something here or am I asking for something impossible?
Thanks in advance,
Lucas
