The two drill sets which are available in Aldi right now look to me like CK drills - made in Germany, £7.99 and boxed just like CK drills are....

the acid test on quality of drills is get some 10mm plate on the pillar drill and rive the drill through dry 
if it cuts ok and is still sharp its a good quality drill. if it blunts and goes blue its crap , it works every time
