you need to check the switching operation of the working relay as this supplies power to the other 2 looking at the relays the one on the right supplies the air solenoid
Got it sorted now, it was nothing to do with the air pressure switch/sensor
Snooper, you were right - the relay on the PCB in yellow wasn't making electrical contact despite operating visiually, I prised the cover off it and cleaned the contacts and the machine now works fine. I guess they may have corroded slightly as I live next to the sea and it's at least a year since it was last used.
For future reference for anyone with similar problems, the process in which these machines work is:
Press trigger - activates first relay (yellow in my photo) - sends 240V to the air shutoff solenoid - opens allowing air to flow to the air pressure switch and through to torch - if correct pressure range then switch then activates second relay (right hand one of the two in red on my photo). This activates one of the contactors putting the machine in ready to cut mode. Then when the cutting tip is then depressed this activates the third relay (left hand one in red) and second contactor which starts the cutting process.
I've cut a few test pieces and it's performed flawlessly so I`m now going to give it a bit of a birthday and repaint the outer casings now they are still off.
thanks for all advice.
