No I am not confusing it, Im unaware of the Honda system. Eu was trying to bring in a whole load of regulations at the time under (EU) 168/2013, to kill off motorcycles and some got through. Manufacturers were given the choice of ABS or non ABS but linked brakes for small bikes. Bosch were one of the knly suppliera of bike abs units and there was extensive lobbying to force it through. The latter is dangerous in poor conditions, even the best ABS systems were not great in poor weather when I was reading reviews. Combined brakes work well on cars but not on bikes. You mean the ABS linked system? I think you’re confusing it with the Honda linked system which was ridiculed by nearly every Motorcycle Journalists when they tested it but hey don’t that stop you do a bit of EU bashing...
There was also regulations to limit home servicing and prevent any modifications, you wouldnt be allowed to swap chain or change sprocket sizes yourself.
