Most chromers copper plate first, quite a heavy deposit to fill any imperfections and polish, then they nickel plate and polish again, finally chrome, it looks like they went straight on with the chrome. Needs stripping and doing properly imo.

most are industrial chromers and not fussy. ones doing vintage parts cost a fortune but the quality shows

most chromers these days just nickle and chrome. not many do the 3 stage and those that do charge a fortune.
chemicals that they use when apply copper etc cost a lot of money to dispose of.
the chromers that I used to use no longer do them and that was over a year ago.
so it took me awhile to find another but in Leeds.
others were afraid of doing a load and might not cope. yeah you figure that out.lol
anyway Agbrigg chromer did them good till the last two deliveries.
most are good but just a couple that have not turned out.
I don't normally do carriers in chrome due to lack of storage space so generally I make them in bare metal as when as needed.

I keep saying to myself about time that I retired but what am I going to do? so I'll just carry on till I can no longer carry on.
