You had the GTi version Steve. We just had a plank and pram wheels, no luxuries such as brick braking system!
Nice work Groenie, its certainly different. How does it ride? Can't help thinking that it looks a tad heavy to be fair, but then I am grossly unfit so it would!
Nicely finished too.
Do the driver`s legs go around those bars in front of the seat or through them?
Is it going to be driven with a chain & pedals?
Will the handle bars be a little high to reach from the current seating position?
The seat looks ok, but for more comfort what about getting a comfy car seat from the breaker’s yard?
You could also attach a luggage box or basket behind the seat, but you would not want to unbalance it of course, causing the front end to lift.
Tidy.
I was looking for the pedals at first, then worked out it is a gravity sled.
Well done for fitting brakes as well.
Looks like a contender for The Klunker Classic.
Chunko'.
Tux you are being ridiculous.
That is for the sucker called Mum.
One year a bunch of suckers pushed Junior up the hill sat on the front of a postie bike! He was their beer monitor.
Apologies for the thread hijack.
Groenie.
I know a few Saffies, they are all idiots who drink a lot. You have a few small hills in South Africa, and beer and bikes. Google Klunker Classic.
then go and do it.
It's meant to be pushed by 2 kids around a rugby field. My two 5 year old boys can push me on the lawn, so the bigger boys that will be pushing it will be able to go quite fast.
@Mart - The drivers legs go around the bars. Push only. Hnadle bars a low enough for a 10 yo. If you make the seat too comfy, they won't want to get out again..... Yes, it will tip over with a luggage box at back.
@Chunko - Yes, we love our beer, bikes, (you forgot the b__bs part)
