Evening all,
I'm new to the forum, but it looks great source of information.
I enjoy a little bit of hobby welding at home. I'm looking at potential chop saws. Also being keen on woodworking, I fully appreciate cheap tools are nearly always false economy.
Can anyone recommend a decent chop saw? It needs to be 240v rather than 110 or 3 phase. My main concern is accuracy of cut (angle of fence).
I have a budget of around £150 tops (which know will not buy 'the best', but hopefully will not buy too much rubbish. Realistically is this a big enough budget (new) or are most saws in this price rang a waste of time?
My other plan (which I probably prefer, is to look for a second hand machine off the *bay for around the same budget.
I have seen the Evolution Rage 4, for around £100. Are these any good? I am wary as I have never seen Evolution before.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Russ
