chop saw mod

im thinking about making some sort of swivel base for it to quickly change between 90 and 45 cuts.space is tight and moving the workpiece to suit wont always be possible.
i did a bit of a search but cant find a single thing on the idea.
probably something very basic like 2 pivoting steel plates,with a sprung deadbolt locating in 2 holes for either cut
has anyone links to a similar diy fairly straightforward idea that i could blatantly steal bits from

Just thinking out loud... wood cutting mitre saw (pref broken = cheap), throw away the saw part, modify base to accept a proper vice and the top half of your chopsaw?

that was my first thought,but a good base doesnt come cheap.not over here anyway
if i needed to reproduce varying angles frequently i might eventually go down that route,but for just 45 and 90 a cheaper setup will have to do.plus im saving for another welder,so pennies are scarce now.
