Like the title says. I'm also on the lookout for a cheap AC-DC machine. Parweld or Jasic? Parweld or Jasic? Actual machine vs machine, we'll leave warranties out of it.

When I was buying my tig I went for the parweld over the jasic, main reason for this was my local supplier had a better deal on the parweld at the time.
I did a tig welding course and they used jasic machines, there's not much difference in them in use, not that I can tell anyway. I prefer the parweld control panel but that's probably just down to being more familiar with it.

I went for the jasic, no complaints here so far. It was purely because a very good deal appeared on eBay for a new set with lots of other bits and pieces. It was around £5-600 cheaper than I could buy new. If a parweld had come up with the same deal I’d have gone with that, or any other brand really. There’s quite a few to pick from in the £1000 to £1500 range. You can’t really judge one better than the other in terms of features, but at least with the parweld you get a threaded connector on the front and a beefier plug for accessories, the jasic plug is a rubbish Chinese thing and quick release fittings are difficult to find...
To add, you’ll struggle to fine a lot of side by side reviews because like yourself, people only buy one or the other! I think there are one or two that bought the Sherman tig who had a parweld or similar so they would be able to offer a decent comparison

@Hood Is one of those in exactly that position, having had a Parweld previously and now happy with his Sherman.
@AussieJase I can hardly talk myself as I've ended up having a Lorch MicorTIG for DC and a Sherman for AC... it wasn't really the plan but life happens. Aren't you at the budget now (unless you've bought the Lorch) where you could just get one decent AC/DC machine, even from Lorch?

Yes, I used to have a Parweld XTT202P and now have a Sherman 206P which is a Jasic mini in blue paint.
Out of these two the Sherman (Jasic) is the winner on DC by quite a way but on AC the difference is small if any.
The newer Parwelds (XTT212P) are supposedly nicer than the older ones, a friend has one but he lives on the opposite coast so I have not been able to have a try so can't say if the Sherman or the new Parweld is best.

Pretty much agree with hood but the newer parweld 212 is much more similar to the jasic/sherman on dc.
At the moment have the jasic,sherman, and parweld at my disposal and usually pick up whichever is closer to the plug.
Not alot in it, would go with what a decent supplier would supply.
