Cnmg and the negative rake type do not like small cuts chasing thous and work best with big power and rpm
No carbide like intermittent cuts.
My favourite carbide of all time is the positive rake knux insert. Good finish and plenty of clearance, good on stainless too.
Less power so less job flex and can get you out of chatter and my go to when finish is being troublesome
