Chinese Radio help

Bought one of these for my Touran, its worked for for about 18 months now when I select radio it just switches back to the page I an? I have tried disconnecting the battery and the Res button on the front so any ideas?
I was fiddling with it when it stopped so I wonder if I have turned the radio setting off?

Carefully remove from vehicle, take to recycle yard.
fit in new vehicle. Make a mental note to never buy a crappy VW again

Have you tried turning the cassette tape over?
Some of the older style do not have double sided playback.
