I bought 2 for this reason. At £100 a time you could buy 15 for the price of an Eberspacher.I think as with a lot of Chinese things it is the luck of the draw. I know two guys that got them for their boats, first guy thought it was great until a month or two later when it packed up. The other guy never even got his working, I spent ages troubleshooting it and eventually found it had a 12v circuit board in it and it was going to cost almost as much to get the correct 24v one. The other option was to get a 12v pump but that was coming in at about the same cost. He decided just to get a Webasto and he has not had any issues in 2 or 3 years running red diesel.
It's probably pretty cheap when you "borrow" everybody elses designs and don't have to put in any R&D etc..How do they do it for the money?
Obviously but the patent has Obviously expired. I suspect 20 years of sales has more than paid for the r and d by now! It's probably pretty cheap when you "borrow" everybody elses designs and don't have to put in any R&D etc..
Thats the thing with them, low output kills them quicker and cokes them up. thats why its best to blast them every now and then full wack.I think running them flat out is the key. Don't use the thermostat. Off when too warm then flat out again.
If you must use the thermostat at least give them a good run to burn the soot off.
If you go through one every few months but the Eberspacher lasts 5 years or more?I bought 2 for this reason. At £100 a time you could buy 15 for the price of an Eberspacher.
That's the best way or they tend to soot up.£1000 is about right. I bought a D2 brand new and it’s been in every truck I’ve had since. Looked after it and kept it serviced.
Navara has a Chinese one in. Had an E6 error. Jammed fan, solved with help of @JMS1972. Other than that it’s been sound. Although I always run it balls out or not at all
Omg so mine is pretty good after 5000 hoursThat's the best way or they tend to soot up.

That's after 5litres of pump diesel!
The cheapo Chinese ones tend to need a bit of adjustment of the controller. I will probably end up running mine on kerosene
(heating oil) as it's cheaper and burns cleaner.....
Yeah mine was badged as a 8kw which means it's a 5kw with the mixture turned up. Didn't help that it was running on low heat for quite a long time.Omg so mine is pretty good after 5000 hours
Really cheap to run, then.Ordered one from China 2 years ago but never turned up
