Chester gas supply

I want to get a pub bottle as all my gasless wire that came with the welder has long since gone

Can anyone give me any advice of where to look around chester/e.port/wrecsam?

There was/is a firm called 'Keygas' in wrecsam they were doing an argon mix i think, probably co2 as well. Some info here.

Hmmm Keygas is an option but I wanna avoid rental if possible..

People seem to buy pub bottles for like thirty rips and then pay between five and fifteen to get them refilled/replaced..

I tried searching for pub suppliers in Chester but no luck..

Maybe Keygas is the way to go..

If you want a pub size co2 bottle there are some empty's on flea bay ending today.

Put in gas bottle co2

I just brought 3 from one chap today.

and then you can get them easily refilled and don't have to worry about rental
costs.

In the past I have got my bottles from bumblebee garage in Connahs Quay (or the place next to it), near Flint. No rental, no deposit, no frills . I'm going there soon to get some gas for the new mig, so if they are still in business I'll ask for some prices. I've still got oxy and acetylene bottles, and some argon, so in the next week or so I'm going for some tri mix. Hope this info isn't too late for you.

Just in case anyone is still watching this. I went to the council tip in sandycroft today to drop an old school telly off and asked about the empty gas bottles while I was there. I got a couple of empty calour bottles for a fiver each and noticed there was a boc co2 bottle there. He let me have the three for a tenner.
Can I swap the co2 bottle for an argon mix with boc or will they take it off me as I don't have a contract? If I can't use it I'll chop it up to use as a flue for the woodburner I want to make with the calour bottle.

its the age old question anything with boc or air products printed on the bottle has a rental agreement and u dont own it .and they wont fill it . they will just take it back

I thought so. I know when we were going camping we just got an old calour bottle from the tip then the shop swapped it for a new full one. It doesn't work the same with boc then? Do you need to show a contract or something.

if u make one make sure it holds 25kg minimum otherwise it wont be worth using
