Chernobyl memorials

Saw these in a documentary I was watching about Chernobyl. Did a double take and had a closer look. At first I thought they were CNC work but maybe not. I don’t know anything about the age of them and they could be relatively new for all I know. The technology has been around for a long time but I can tell they’re not directly engraved from a photo, ie., at the very least some skill went into producing the vectors. If they’re entirely hand engraved I’m in awe, and wondering how long each one would have taken.

Similar to what they can do on headstones.

The monument is in Slavutych a town quickly built to house the residents once they were evacuated.
Regardless a fitting tribute to some unsung hero's

These were featured in a documentary, albeit briefly. Vasily Igantenko (SP) I think was the 1st Firefighter on the scene and among the first to die. What these (28) men did was incredible, exposing themselves to radiation levels over 500 millisieverts, bearing in mind that 2 Sieverts would kill in about an hour.

They were what you call brave men, knowing they were dead men walking, I hope we all credit their dedication and skill
