Brilliant, thats very gratious of you ! There are just 5 small tools, it's the original toolkit to my BSA Bantam, couple of flat multi size spanners, a tyre lever, spark plug wrench and a spoke spanner. Let me know your details by PM and we'll go from there. Cheers

Just had a look at the Bodycote website, wow !! What don't they do ?!
Can't find a familiar reference to the process I'm looking for though, what would they call it ?

Clean them up then stick them in the kitchen oven at 250°C for an hour.

The most durable traditional blacking I've come across is a phosphating process, sometimes called parkerising.

Old engine oil works fine !

Thats what i use.Coat the metal with oil heat till its dry.
