last week on the industrial estate where we often work there was a gas explosion in the cafe at night time (thankfully no one was hurt or killed) which was caused by a lpg gas leak inside the building which promptly exploded when building was full. the bang was heard several miles away.
just a little reminder to everyone that gas is extremely dangerous and be mindful of turning off all gas bottles at the end of the day and tea breaks just incase a pipe has developed a small hole etc.
the cafe has completely disapeared.
the large unit had all the sheeting ripped off of the gable and all the air inside was ripped out causing a huge vacuum which imploded all the sheeting rails and roof purlins.
we had to wrap the large unit in safety nets to protect the public from debris and i got a ride on fire brigades simon snorkel
so we could cut holes in existing sheeting.
hopefully a few pics enclosed.
