Cheapo china roller

Looking at getting this for light cylnder rolling. Anyone any experience of them? Depending which seller I buy it from it will either be 1mm max to 2.5mm max.
Obviously a bit of artistic licence going on? Extremely similar units

This appears to be the same brand as first one for a little cheaper. As its on prime try to break it within the first month so that it can be returned if unsuitable.

Second review seems to be of a vevor branded one but same origin...

This is a little late I see.
The handle is way too short for big steel so 2.5mm is alloy only. Be prepared for a lot of truncated cones to start with

I concur....all in all not a good piece of kit. With screws acting directly on the thin bushes they jam the bearings. Should have pillow blocks. The guide plate stops the feed action and the gears don't have thrust washers to stop them digging into casing.
However with a few mods I reckon it can be made reasonable. Thinnest sheet I had handy was 1.5mm so it' above it's max of 1.
I was working on the assumption that thicker plate could be attempted by making smaller adjustments. Not so sure.
Pretty badly scuffed for a return...so might be stuck with it. Hey ho! £100 It won't break me.
The rollers and frame are pretty substantial though.

Have to retract previous comment some what. On 1mm it's fine, which is what it was sold as. So can't really complain. 1.5mm steel is a struggle which I didn't succeed with. Bigger handle? Fitted couple of washers behind gears and molylubed the bearings

MIG'd it up....yipes! I'm out of practice. Blindman on galloping horse ..etc. Just check heart with ECG monitor...didn't get 118bpm this time with lower amps <100. Pacemaker...still pacemakering...not dead...which is nice

Only problem is ...I can roll 1mm over my togger. (as if ...dream on). It's the thicker stuff like 6mm that would really be useful. I'll still have to use the forge for that.
