Whats the cheapest oldest model touchscreen phone i can get that will still function ?

I only need a few apps, camera and WiFi, I don't need any storage , no games or music,

How old can I go before it gets impossibility slow?

Yes, I bought an A12 about a year ago for £60 (may have been from backmarket); perfectly happy with it.

the apps i use are basic in phone apps

i also dont download any, then again ive never tried to do as its not registered to me phone type of thing ...

with this said i get to use old phones i had a samsung s3 mini perfect for use until they updated the network and the net is now slow on it

i use the phone as is with the hotspot/wifi
phones storage is for photos and music no games

stay away from iphone phones that means android phones only you can get older phones for between 10-30.00

i have an a4 mini and another samsung that gets used as internet phone but the music player needs downloading the app on that phone

i still use the s3 mini photo and video can be joined to the newer phones the same can be said for the music player
the battery is better since a long life batterys is fitted i cant do the same with the other phones

Be careful, the cheap smartphones might be running an older version of Android that the apps you want to use aren't compatible with. My other half is having this problem with a OnePlus 5 currently, a few essential apps for her can't be downloaded.

before the firmware update you can block that and use older apps still and downloads those apps as well

if you allow firmware updates yes they can have issues
