Cheap metal belt sander table?

I've been messing around in Onshape for the last couple of days planning a mini version of the Fireball tools 6" belt build.

A general rule of thumb which I think is mentioned in that video series is that you want about a HP per inch of belt width for a powerful belt grinder.

well my 6 inch belt sander has a 1hp motor on it and its well powerfull enough and wont stall. made it myself

Looks like a great build. It does seem an over kill 'rule'. The fireball one literally eats metal I think he ground a small belt sander away with it as a joke. I think its for longer belts, like 72 inches or bigger.

Heres a rough sketch I need to re-do it parametrically as I just started adding bits on till it was somewhat close to what I had in my head. The right hand side is hinged and so is the top gaurd so you can do quick belt changes.

Dont care if ime scalling down, got to get myself a decent linisher...kind of rednecked this cheap one but stalls to easy.
