Are they worth it?
We've got quite a lot of logs to split, not enough to justify an expensive "proper" log splitter, but too much for a workout. I'm seeing these cheap generic horizontal Chinese ones for around £200 - £300, watched a few reviews and they seem to work OK albeit a bit flimsy.
I suspect you can't even buy the bits to make one for that money and I'm thinking even if the frame busts apart it could always be reinforced.
Anybody got one? What's the craic? Are they a waste of money?
