Depends how you set up the grill Parm...agree you wouldn't stick a burger in the main flame so I'd need to redistribute the heat...time for Google searching for ideas

One guy makes his out of logs....the logs provide the fuel....excellent idea for outdoor camping.

Share anything interesting you find Neil. I always thought they were only good for pans etc. Having said that I have seen them heat up a hot plate for burgers etc, but that's not really a BBQ in my book

I remember watching him build that. Amazing what energy you can extract from a simple piece of timber

i learnt from them stoves

my first design was a hybrid between 2 builds his and the other guys as i wanted a smaller heater bigger firebox

then i made another dyno v but i played with it found out you could stand it on its end

then made a 2 way wood stove can use it normally or upside down

i hate the new style stoves theres just no conserving wood being burnt in them compared to a rocket stove

new stoves are not enviro friendly and certainly not energy efficient more so when they need electric to power them or blow a fan

a plumbers type burner and disposable propane bottle almost works. I was looking something similar
but with a lot more heat.

the plumbers map gas blowlamp with the mix in it does do it

but you need the better blow lamp rothenberg
