Cheap Chinese TIGs

Just received spam email form a Chinese supplier. It included a wholesale price list for all the Chinese TIG, MIG and MMA welders.

TIG-200P $178US
TIG-160 $156US

That is qty: 1 prices. At 250 qty, they are about 10% less. Unbeleivably cheap, I can see these ebay sellers are making a fortune one these.

When I was at the Fabtech show in Las Vegas earlier this year, we were offered 140 amp MMA Inverters complete with leads and plastic carry case, for $70.

When I asked what safety specs they met, he said that they 'could' meet any specification I wanted them to meet..........as they would write anything I wished on the Data Plates regarding IP ratings, Outputs, Duty Cycles etc
