Fuchs? Wurth?Currently having a brain fart and cant remember the name of the company that does nothing else buy lube related gear. They stock high end grease guns, the ends cost more than a complete cheap grease gun.

And the same to you!Fuchs? Wurth?
There was supposedly a newspaper headline when explorer sir Vivian Fuchs was off to explore the South Pole - “Sir Vivian Fuchs off to Antarctica” Think it might have been an urban myth though, but still funny! And the same to you!
That tickled me so I googled it (as we know that google always, always gives you the single true truth!)There was supposedly a newspaper headline when explorer sir Vivian Fuchs was off to explore the South Pole - “Sir Vivian Fuchs off to Antarctica” Think it might have been an urban myth though, but still funny!

Turns out that wasn't a headline but the Grauniad did use each of the following
"Savage Cold Could Halt Fuchs" (12 January 1958)
"Sir Vivian Fuchs At Palace" (16 May 1958)
"Sir Vivian Fuchs For Antarctic" (6 December 1963)
Deep joy!

I always find the pistol grips hard work The other thing to look out for as in avoid is the type with a fine thread on the cartridge holder, after a while they become very easy to start cross threaded. Got one here somewhere with a coarse thread but unfortunately its got no makers name on it.

And again I'll say alemite chucks are very good and they are cheap. They grip astonishingly well. I can stand on the lever and nothing leak out around a blocked nipple.Currently having a brain fart and cant remember the name of the company that does nothing else buy lube related gear. They're all crap IMO. The only good grease gun is a cordless one from Milwaukee or Makita. They're built well and grease only comes out of the pipe, nowhere else.

I have two hand lever ones I use at work (different greases) both cheapies and both a few years old, both work as they should, both also dribble snot all in the toolbox drawer!
I have mixed feelings about cordless grease guns, its bad enough having a cartridge run out halfway through a grease up, add a battery going flat into the mix and there is a temptation to launch the thing into outer space.
The pneumatic tub grease guns are considerably cheaper than a high end cordless and you wont be running out of grease or battery. Zero mess

There are messy things, best wrapped in a cloth and slipped into a plastic bag before putting away in a drawer or toolbox. Worse than the grease is the oil that leaves the grease over time, never worked out how that manages to escape

We have an air greaser at work, it is a disgusting mess, hence why I use my two own hand guns.I have mixed feelings about cordless grease guns, its bad enough having a cartridge run out halfway through a grease up, add a battery going flat into the mix and there is a temptation to launch the thing into outer space.

Not much at all.How much pressure does it require on the handle? Relatively easy to pump?
