I know a very local animal charity - that seems to be doing good work - loads of volunteers...

On the surface... A model charity - doing good work.

When we looked into it - with a view to donate a largish sum of money.

The farm they working on - is leased at a huge rent - massively over market rent to the person who runs the charity's Brother.

Heres one for you i've kept quiet until now
back in march 2024 i was involved in a car accident,got rear ended
off to A&E for scans etc,they found something alright
a nasty lump growing in my throat,on the tonsil
so after tests,biopsies etc, yes,it was cancer
i spent 6 weeks may/june 2024 having Chemo radiotherapy,no frigging party i can tell you,as some on here might know where i'm coming from
I was introduce to the MacMillian nurse from day one i was told,never ever saw her again,absolutely sod all from them,in fact,they're suppose to be 24hr help,i called one night knocking on deaths door,i got an answerphone,left a message,please help asap,SOD ALL BACK
they have a macMillian centre right smack back opp the cancer treatment place in brighton
yes you get free tea/coffee,but you want anything else like time to chat,you have to pay a contribution(excuse freaking me?)
oh and get this,the so called MM centre stop all the nurses from the cancer place from coming in and buying their lunch/sandwiches etc ,the so called real angels,because,they didnt think it was right
plus,and my other half pointed this out,you wont see one car in their staff car park more than 3-4yrs old,funny that eh?

My poor wife has been through similar. Maggies are very good if there is one in your area. But again just regular business hours.
