I want to fit a heater into the van, it's just a bog standard Renault Trafic with no insulation but I fancy taking myself off walking and then kipping in the van on a mattress.
I need ideas on heating the van without generating any moisture so bottled gas is out.
I knew a guy who fitted a homemade charcoal burning stove in his Vito van but he made it too big so the heat was uncomfortable, I seem to remember he used 4" box.
I've also seen stainless ones for boats:
The plan is to have a steel box similar in design to the above but have the air intake fed from outside the van so that there can be no risk of carbon monoxide building up.
Any design ideas you can suggest, whether to have a grate or not, where to have the air entry etc.
