Currently it has a flange mount 3ph 2hp motor, 2800 rpm and 380V only, the connection box only has 3 studs arranged in a equilateral triangle. Twin pulley on a 3/4" shaft.
I've got a 2.2KW 1ph motor I'd like to use as a replacement. The flange mount is different but that looked easily solved with an adaptor plate. It has a larger diameter shaft so I'd need another pulley. The only other problem is that it is 1380 rpm.
Are there any good reasons why I can't just use a pulley twice the diameter of the original to keep the speed up? I might need new belts, but being as I haven't looked at the original belts I might need those anyway.
