Changing email locations on android/gmail

I have a Gmail email and the Gmail app on an android phone.

Emails from a couple of senders keep ending up in the "promotions" folder.
Is there a way of sending all these emails to the "primary" folder instead?
A bit like the "mark as not spam" option?

Or, alternatively, removing the "promotions" folder completely?

Install outlook maybe?....thats what I use on my android phone...I can setup rules and my own sub folders etc plus have multiple emails in the same outlook application.

Have not got a promotions folder in my Gmail
Have 3 email addresses on Android phone, my non Gmail box gives me the option to load all incoming Emails to "Inbox All Accounts" it still loads to the Gmail program as well.
Please don't inquire how I arrived at this
I don't have Outlook

I've just gone into my Gmail account on my pc and clicked on the Promotions folder. It said my Smart Features were not enabled and gave me a button to turn them on, which I did. To turn them off again (so removing the Promotions folder), go to Settings, See all settings, then scroll down to Smart features and personalisations, then untick it:

Also, if you click on the 'Learn More' link, it has a section titled 'Automatic e mail filters and categories'. That's probably where you can persuade it to send things to your Inbox instead.

It never used to be there but it was either part of an update or maybe I turned on the smart features as below...

I have turned off smart features and I now just have one, normal inbox again!!
