so which log burner are you going to get or which one are you going to build then ?
Sorry I've neglected this post for a while! We bought a Burley Fire Cube in the end, quite expensive but very well made AND made in England using British steel apparently

As for the chainsaw I got the Husqvarna 236 with the safey kit of helmet and ear defenders, gloves and chaps!
It's very well build going by the feel of it, nice and solid. I used it in anger last weekend to clear a fallen tree from the lane, it was about 8" round and Oak! The chain needs a good sharpen now as i caught something that sparked a few times , maybe small stones

That wood it bloody hard stuff!
I used it in my right hand with no real trouble but must learn hold it further to the right instead of in front of myself

A couple to the ladies down the lane came past while I was out there and later one posted on farcebook "thanks for clearing the lane" " A real man!"
