Chain saw chains and bars

Also get a good quality chain, there’s a big difference between a cheapo and an Oregon or Stihl

For the cutting we do on arb waste dumped at the farm I wouldn't spend too much on chains which is why I get the Rotatech. They last pretty well and are cheap enough that I have half a dozen for my 135 and swap them then have a sharpening session when I get low. I'd be gutted if I wrecked a Stihl or Oregon chain at £14 but at £6 a go it's not so bad if you clip a nail.

Yeh fair enough, I use mine on tree limbs but I’m similarly gutted when I occasionally accidentally hit a metal support on my log horse

Apologies - not sure if you're kidding, or not...

Anyway - suffice to say, I still recall (40 years later) when the split link on my motorcycle chain disappeared, at about 70 on the M5...
I considered myself rather lucky that the only damage was some broken aluminium on the sprocket casings....

Oregon make the chains & bars that are oe fitment on most saws on the market so I would be surprised if they don't do one for your saw.
