Hello,
I've finally reorganised the garage and It's time to shift the bridgeport off of it's pallet but I'm a little stuck as to how to get it off!
Plan A was to lift it on to some sort of rollers with a bar and either shimmy it on to a pallet truck or down an inclined plain but would you believe that a machine that weighs a ton actually weighs a ton?
Plan B is to use the pallet truck to get it under the RSJ that runs down the middle of the garage and use a chain hoist to pick it from the pallet and then down to some rollers. This has the benefit that I can be far enough away from it so I won't get squashed if it topples.
I'm struggling a bit with choosing a hoist though. I'm only going to use it a hand full of times so don't want to spend much. Ebay & Amazon have 2T models for £30 - 40 but I have my reservations...
Can anyone recommend me one that's value for money which won't fall apart like clown car half way through the manoeuvre?
Cheers,
Fro
