I’m looking out for a single phase AC/DC tig to learn aluminium welding on.
One of these Cebora Tig Star 16p’s is available for what seems sensible money. The max current is 130A so I guess that would limit full penetration welds to around 3mm on aluminium. I’m also assuming that this not enough power to build up repairs to castings such as motorbike engine cases etc.
Can someone confirm this for me?
