Cebora Pocket Turbo 130 Mig Welder

I have just acquired a turbo 130 mig welder and it is in need of a new torch (the trigger is hanging off). Can i convert the torch to the Euro style ? if so how much and how easy is it ?.

You can just buy the black plastic trigger seperatly.
Think a couple of the lads on the forum have converted theirs to a Euro-Torch; seems a lot of messing & expense to me but it can be done.

Thanks for replying, i did think of just buying the black plastic trigger and also the repair kit you sell. I am not to sure though as the torch is not the best i have ever used and dont like the feel of the trigger mechanism. Apparently the new Cebora torches are just short of 100 quid..

So you wouldnt reccomend putting on a euro conversion ?.
Is there any other torches that fit this model of welder ?.

Yes you can covert using a conversion kit (search here for the origianl thread) i did my cebora and coupled with a full overhaul it is totally transformed. Much better than it ever was with the original torch.
Very glad i did it.

The trigger mechanism doesn't feel very positive because the gas valve is built into the torch so the trigger doesn't just operate a micro-switch like most do. It pushes a plunger to open the valve and then touches a contact to complete the circuit. Like weldequip says, it is a lot of hassle to convert any machine to a euro torch and you're going to be looking at about £100 by the time you've bought the kit, solenoid and a torch . Having said that, you might be able to get a cheap used torch off someone on here, I seem to recall someone selling some a little while back.

All shot at though & of no use to anyone... stripped all the copper out first for a nice weigh in
