Does anyone know how to remove the shroud on the cebora 130 mig, i have tried unscrewing it with large grips but it wont budge, im thinking it may be rusted on.
I purchased it from a car boot sale, its a bit battered but it works..
Its just a push fit.
there's a spilt ring that sits in an annular grove in the swan neck . Should be free to turn in the shaft in either direction and mine move along the shaft also. Can be a bit of a pain to pull off though. As the swan neck is quite thin there is usually an insulated spacer in a standard shroud. could be a home made one. If you've got a new shroud i'd be tempted to cut is off, but is £40 odd for a new swan neck. Just upgraded mine to a euro torch.
you need to add a solenoid gas valve
"adapt" the mounting, this is basically opening up the original hole that the torch came out of.
getting the new wire guide into the existing clamp, drilled it out to 5mm.
fix the connector housing on the case. 3 screws.
fit the connector block in the housing and wire guide
wire the power cable to the block
connect one switch wire to the block
connect the other switch wire to the trigger connector on the pcb.
fit the gas valve to the chassis
connect the two wires to the contactor switching side
connect the gas valve.
considering my torch switch block was needing replacing anyway, on ebay they were iro £50 or £80 for a replacement torch any way all plus postage. it was a no brainer.
really happy with it now. new lease of life, just like a new welder happy days
