Cebora 200amp MIG

Hi everyone,new to welding,friend of mine as Cebora 200amp MIG he wants to sell me,he says its about 12yrs old and only used for light hobby work.is it worth buying a machine this old,it seems to work fine and as offered me t for a £100.is it a bargain or not. thank you.

and at 100 I would buy it, seems a good deal to me. Ive just sold my Cebora 155 Boxer twin for 230, was about 6 years old and worked ok for me with no problems at all, only changed it cos it struggled on sum of the thicker stuff.

Should have been a bit clearer, I meant specs wise, even if its tatty, if it works I would buy it at 100. Try to knock him down and get an even better deal.

A good clean and a respray and it can be any colour you want lol.

My Cebora 130 is nearly 20 years old and still going strong! I don't know about that particular model, but Cebora parts backup is generally very good if you do need anything.
Certainly if it works it must be worth £100 IMO.

Don, I agree with both Steves, £100 isn't a lot of money for a mig of that size and Cebora is a decent make. Try it out, make sure all the controls work, the wire feeds nice and smoothly, there's no damage, no gas leaks anywhere. If all checks out ok then buy it! Even if the wire doesn't feed as smoothly as you'd expect you might just need to service the torch but that's a cheap fix.

Hi,

At 200 amps it may be worth checking your power supply / his power supply. Be a shame to pay £100 and find out you need to spend more to fit the proper power outlet in your garage. Just a thought, it may be fine.
