Hi
After the R-Tech fiasco I have been pleased with older industrial Kemppi AC/DC TIG unit.
In the meantime also got PS5000 mostly because it was cheap and suitable for gouging. Of course I did not think it through and found out that my compressor is too anemic for that, so the circle began anew on another front :-)
Came with surplus wire feed unit so I've been tinkering with MIG and done some thicker car repair with 1mm wire. No way to go thinner, rolls are already turned over. It's a beast so perhaps not suitable anyway. Welds nice with 2mm stick, though.
This leads to question, would you choose CEA Treostar 2000 Pulse instead of Kemppi MinarcMig 200? Price difference is small. I like the CEA for Euro gun socket and lower minimum current. How about wire drive, the Italian made Telwins have weak drive units or so I've heard. I also read on this very forum that "I've been warned about CEA" but didn't explain further.
