Picked up a CEA Sureweld 140 from my Granda as he no longer has any need for it. He used to be a welder Harland a Wolff shipyard here in Belfast.
I know these type of welders aren't great but it's going to give me the chance to play with something else other than my MIG.
I remember the last time it was used was to make a bench for my dad's shed and that must be easily 15+ years ago.
Question is with something this old are there any precautions to take into consideration before powering it on never mind using it to weld?
I've taken the case off and sprayed WD40 on the threads to loosen it up a bit.
