sure i seen sone where very reciently unless it over £200 pound the police only give a ref number so you can claim off your insurance

^^ I heard the same recently on the news, hopefully they'll build a database of "petty" crimes and eventually catch up with the scrotes. No doubt they'll get cocky and slip up at some point.
£200 is 1/3rd of my monthly pension, I wonder how the chief constable would feel if someone walked off with 1/3 of his monthly salary?

I do wonder what the police focus is nowdays. Few peeps have seen one on the street recently. Then we have Yewtree and the persuit of Cliffy and a few others. Many were protected by the politicians of the day.. Cyril Smith?
Remember the New York 'Broken Windows' bit. Stop it at an early level and it reduces further problems. How people who have been arrested multiple times get cautioned, rather than chucked in chockey, defies belief. 'Thats all right, just don't do it again' So, a licence to do it again. Depressing.
