Civil law is 'on the balance of probabilities' I think but even then if you count on them telling lies about everything is there enough of a papertrail for you to prove it?

was you employed by anyone or on benefits if the later then you could be prosecuted for fraud
if you wasnt employed then you would be classed as self employed did you pay tax and NI as above if not walk away if you wasnt all leagal and above board

Was the money from items paid into your paypal account and did it transfer into their account automatically ? If you set it up to do that could you have stopped it going and taken out what you felt was your cut at source ?

are these co uk registered or not or just shell co's if they have five ltd co's you will have to include all five of them to get anywhere or they close one etc been there a long time ago cost me £3000 to get £3500 back but that was the principal of it
if it's going through your ebay account it's going to come back at you by the sound of it you are just acting as a box shifter/shipper you are going to needs lots of paperwork as proof

In the county court it is adjuged as you being unreasonable if you spend nearly as much on trying to get the claim if it is close to amounting to the sum of what is owed .
lots of cases are binned and you pick up the tab
I'd go with the sit a while , write down and if cross your heart you did not intend to illegally make a profit go and see the HMRC to see if you have a liability it it's all good try the CCCj routre but dont hold your breath they have to own things for you to get money .
But if there is the remotest proven intent of you hoping to cheat the HMRC's or anyother state department forget it you will be hammerd by them if caught . Same wiill happen if you flout the benefits works & pensions rules .
It is all down to the " Oh what a tangled web we weave when at first we do decieve "
HMRC , accountants and courts will not help you to claim money that is not legally yours to claim .
